Hey! I was actually able to get 4 job offers 2-3 weeks after passing NCLEX. I got them at Banner, Diginity, Maricopa , and Honor Health. I chose to go with Banner because they had the best training out of the 4! Honor Health paid the most but My concern wasn't the money as a new grad as much as the training. I also met quite a few people at my orientation at Banner who left Honor Health because it was awful and the people and company weren't nice. Dignity was very unprofessional . They knew I was living 2 hours away at the time and rescheduled my interview 3 times at the last minute when I was pretty much almost there only to have to drive back home. None the less, I was a new grad and would've been willing to take anything that came my way!! I lucked out and was able to pick and choose and be selective between 4 different offers! I have been nothing short of impressed with Banner and in the 7 months I've been working for them, I have been able to obtain countless certifications, classes and over 60 continuing education hours which is more than I can say if I had chosen to work somewhere else. They are always hiring new grads every month so I'd encourage you to apply if you are looking! Let me know if you have any other questions!
How are you liking the program?
I am between these schools as well. What did you end up choosing and how do you like it? I spoke with an admissions rep at SMU and they said they have clinical coordinators help find preceptorsmamd clinical sites . Is this true?
Hello everyone! I decided to start this thread for anyone else applying to Nursing@Simmons FNP program! I am thinking of applying for the March 2017 cohort! I was just wondering if anyone would be able to provide information on how competitive it was to get admission? Nursing was my second degree and I had a 3.47 GPA however in my first degree, I got a 2.97 ( I wasnt a very good student then) but I got my life together during nursing school. Do you think this would negatively impact me? Thanks for the help!
So there are services you can hire to help find placements? Do you know if they help in any state or is it specific to one state? I live in Arizona and we don't have many NP programs
Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has any info or know of online FNP programs that provide clinic placements or at least help with them? I am interested in applying to FNP programs but not finding a preceptor or clinical placement is my greatest concern. I would like to complete at least the class portion online so I can keep working FT or at least PT. Thank you for your help!
Hey everyone! I am thinking about applying to GCU's FNP program soon. Does any one have any information on the admission requirements or if it's competitive to get in? I was also wondering if anyone in the program could let me know how you are liking it? Thank you!
I work at banner as a PCA and I have seen several cnas and pcas transition into a nursing position at banner quite easily. I do believe having a good employment history with the hospital helps, but there are also some new grads at my facility who have no prior experience outside of nursing school. So who knows really?
Thank you so much for all the information!!!
I recently was offered a position at Banner Boswell and have an interview for Chandler Regional ( Dignity Health ) in a couple days for their new grad program. Which company do you think is better? I dont know much about the areas and hospitals. From what I hear Banner has a great new grad program but I don't know much about Dignity Health. Thank you!!
Hey guys! I just got offered an interview in a couple days for Chandler Regional! Does anyone have any advice for me? I was offered a new grad position at Banner last week but wanted to interview with Dignity Health too. Does anyone know how long it took them to notify you if you got the job or not? I don't want to risk giving up my spot at Banner if I don't get this position.
Hey everyone! I just got an email for an Interview at Banner for their New Grad Program today! Does anyone have any tips or advice? Or has anyone else gotten an interview as well?
Does anyone know if Abrazo is hiring a lot of new grads? Ive seen over 50 postings that they " will consider new graduates". But has anyone actually had any luck getting hired?
I meant since the past few years. I've been reading posts and have seen the it's really hard to get a new grad job in Phoenix
Does anyone know if Phoenix's new grad job market had picked up? I have applied for over 50 jobs and still no response. Also does anyone have any advise on how to get hired as a new grad in Phoenix? I have been seeing A LOT of new grad openings but havent heard from any of them
