About teacherpaul

teacherpaul has 3 years experience and specializes in EKG Telemetry.

Hello Nurse and Healthcare friends. I’m an LVN in San Diego, California. I work in the ER (but they call it ED these days) at a local hospital. I also work as a Tele Tech when needed. My boss is the best person I have ever had as a leader, she is way more than a boss – she is a mentor and truly caring soul. Everything about helping people heal is awesome. It’s amazing how often we can help a patient meet their immediate health needs, and then help them focus on achieving their longer term health goals. We are fortunate at the hospital where I work to have Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants who will verbalize their diagnostic critical thinking for us when we let them know we are interested in learning more. As Nurses, we are the eyes and ears of the folks who make the diagnostic and treatment decisions. I love it! I’m taking a look at RN bridge programs. I have an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree, so if there is a program out there that can lead to BSN or MSN, I would be thrilled to find that program. The role of Traveler Nurse is also worth checking out. We have many, many Traveler Nurses at our hospitals in San Diego and they all say they love the ability to see new places combined with their nursing practice. As we start 2018, I am full of hope. Hope that I can help all our patients heal and find their better health. Hope that my fellow nurses, all the care providers, and wonderful colleagues will find me to be a ready resource to enhance the success of their practice. And hope that I will be the right nurse, at the right time, to ensure every patient I serve feels listened to, understood and respected. I encourage all healthcare colleagues around the world to get in touch with me to share ideas for advancing our service to our patients, and building our careers, too.
