Hello! I have a job offer for an IR RN. I’m currently a med/surg onco nurse with 6 years experience. I’m getting burnt out with bedside and would like to transition to procedural area. However, I am unsure of the schedule. I really like my 3 12s beca...
Having problems whenever I administer Vancomycin. Whether it's pump (Braun Vista basic pump) or manual, the blood tries to back up the medication line. How to prevent the backing up because of the pressure in the venous chamber? Thanks.
Hi everyone. My mom is endorsing her California license to Texas and part of the endorsement application to Texas is to include countries where you have previously worked. During the 90s, my mom worked in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. However, during those...
Hi. I am currently an RN in Texas. I read somewhere on Facebook, particularly in a group specific for California RN applicants, that you can take your deficient subjects in another state. Can anyone confirm this? I live in the Houston area and it wou...
Hi, I'm a dialysis registered nurse working in DaVita and I have been training in one of their facilities in Houston for more than 2 months now. However, I was just wondering if it's better to work in an outpatient setting like in a DaVita facility o...
Hi. My mom is endorsing her CA RN license to Texas. But we just found out California BON takes 6-8 weeks to process a license verification! My mom's temporary permit will expire in November and we're afraid that her verification won't be received bef...

Hi @jenn028. Nope. Texas does not require IELTS or TOEFL. You only need a refresher course if 4 years has passed since your graduation when you applied for NCLEX. As for me, I graduated in 2013 and applied in 2014 so I'm still within the time frame.
Hi! I have a batchmate who luckily was able to take an exam here in California. I think it does not matter when you graudated AS LONG AS you meet the concurrency requirements. Have you taken the NCLEX again? I hope you pass! :)
