Refused to go to college out of high school. Went from waitressing, to bartending, as a means to get to nursing, never looked back. I got my ASN from a community college during a Nursing Shortage-early 90's. 1st job TCU, needed med-surg experience- boss said no, resigned in 3 yrs. 2nd job Travel Nurse- got that med-surg experience! OMG. Summers in Boston, winters in South Florida thought I was having fun, then I went home. 3rd job VNA (worst career move). Needed RN-BSN. Completed April 20, 2015. The job search begins. My goal-pay off my student loan and get MSN. Single, no kids, just time. Have to be marketable into my old age b/c I will never be able to retire!!!
