Yes, this is common practice at many nursing schools. If you do not fulfill their predictor exam requirements, regardless if everything else has been completed, they will not allow you to sit for the NCLEX.
  5. Taking test on 7/6 and VERY anxious

My UWorld diagnostic test said that my chances of passing the NCLEX would be "borderline" and I averaged 50-60% on any given UWorld question test. I did pretty well in my nursing program and tried my best to understand all of the rationales. I went i...

Hi there! So from what you write, I don't know if I would call it the norm, but I would say that I definitely see it quite frequently. I myself changed from a career in BioTech to nursing, not because BioTech was such a terrible field, but because I ...

Hi there! Chamberlain utilizes the HESI tests both for your entrance exam (HESI A2) and for benchmarking your progress through the program (HESI subject exams). Medical terminology, pharmacology, and medical calculations will be helpful for sure, but...
  14. What good does a BA in anything do for nursing

I have a bachelor's of science in biology. The only edge it gives me is that I understand pathological processes a little easier in some classes. In terms of actual nursing employments, none.
  15. Dismissed from BSN Program

Hi Dozier, While I think your email is fine, may I ask what prompted them to perceive you as "unprofessional"? The reason I ask is because, as it stands, the email does not address the issue at all. If you really are on bad terms with the dean, the ...
