Guys, I need your help..pls..I just want to ask regarding IQNM Criterias 2 and 3, do I have to request for certificates or just the letters from the education provider and CHED? or certificates are automatically provided together with the letters? Also, for the CV, aside from the applicant, who should sign it, the chief of hospital, head nurse or chief nurse? thank you..

Hello Ayanami, with regards to criterias 2 and 3 you will provide them the designated letters that you received by courier to the school where you finished your BSN and to CHED or the accrediting body of your school. There's no need to attach the certificates, as far as I know. With regards to your CV, the time i passed my papers I wa currently employed so I let my charge nurse sign it but if you're not currently employed your signagure will be fine.

Hi om'sarah, I am just new here and i am also waiting for my approval. when did you complete the criteria 2,3 and 8?:) cause I lodged my application last december then completed the 8 criterias last april 22.
I finished all the submission of requirements last april 4 including criteria 2,3, and 8. I lodged my application last december as well. This is the agony of waiting. Goodluck to everyone... This is the reality now especially for international applicants. :)
I got 2 extension letters from AHPRA, I just want to ask if anybody from here received the same mail.
A. 1st extension letter states:
Extension of time to assess application
Thank you for lodging your application for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia (National Board). Your application for registration is currently under assessment.
According to the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory (the National Law), If a National Board is not able to decide an application for registration within 90 days following receipt, the failure by the board to make a decision is taken to be a decision to refuse to register the applicant.
To avoid this situation in your case, AHPRA is able to agree with you a time extension to decide your application. We would like to propose an extension to the time available to decide your application in order to allow for consideration of your application.
We therefore request, in accordance with Section 85 of the National Law , That you agree to an extension of the 90 day period to determine your application. This will avoid your application being refused because of passage of time. This extension of time would be to 8 May 2014.
THIS IS THE 1ST EXTENSION LETTER I RECEIVED FROM AHPRA, BEFORE THE 8TH OF MAY, THEY FORWARDED ME ANOTHER EXTENSION LETTER
B. 2nd Extension Letter states:
Further extension of time to assess application
We have previously written to you regarding an extension of time to decide your application.
Due to complexities that have arisen in assessing your application, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (National Board) is not yet in a position to make a decision on your application.
As stated in the previous letter, according to the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, as in force in each state and territory (the National Law), If a National Board is not able to decide an application for registration within 90 days following receipt, the failure by the board to make a decision is taken to be a decision to refuse to register the applicant.
In order to avoid this situation in your case, AHPRA is able to agree with you a time extension to decide your application. This extension period would be ending shortly and we would therefore like to propose a further extension to the time available to decide your application in order to allow for full and fair consideration of your application.
We therefore request, in accordance with Section 85 of the National Law , That you agree to an extension of the 90 day period to determine your application. This will avoid your application being refused because of passage of time. This extension of time would be to 13 August 2014.
At present, I am waiting for AHPRA's final decision the last time I mailed my CO he just cleared that my application was included in the National Board's next meeting so I have to wait patiently, hope for the best and constantly PRAY... PRAY... PRAY. Goodluck to all and Godbless!
wow! seriously? my extension is until july23. Let's hope and pray that the council will do their best to expedite the assessment.God bless!:)
Just let us know when you received the final decision from ahpra. Indeed, patience is a virtue here and there's more to come. Goodluck to everyone! :)

Yeah, that's true, it's barely 90 days. I do not know with AHPRA on how they processed our papers. I sent my dox by courier (DHL) here which is very costly. I am currently employed here in KSA but i am about to leave my job here in 2 months time and will take the risk, whatever AHPRA decision might lead.
