I started the Straighterline Medical Terminology class this morning. Finished it tonight..... drum roll here.... 92%
I'm happy, I'm tired.... my brain is mush...
Now if I could just get the Biology finished like that, I'd be a happy camper. Great way to spend my spring break though....

Wow and congratulations.
What degree can that be applied to? I mean like Excelsior.

Congratulations! Did you complete the course without the required textbook? I'm asking because the medical terminology course barely went live on Straighterline's website less than one week ago.
UPDATE. . . I took the first medical terminology test within the past hour and scored 97%. The used textbook that I had ordered for this class from Ebay has not arrived yet, so I took the plunge and attempted this first exam without the recommended book. I was simply able to read the Blackboard lessons and draw from my five years of nursing experience to answer the multiple choice questions. If you have previous exposure to healthcare settings through schooling and/or employment, I am beginning to think that this course is very doable.
The text arrived on Tuesday.... I had it sent over night. The text was helpful so I didn't't have to refer to the internet constantly, and alot of the class is "combining forms", which are stated in the text.
I'd also like to take tha A&P, but will have to wait a bit on that. Regular classes will get in the way I think.
Thank you TheCommuter. I might look into taking it also. How many more test do you have to do to complete the Med term?

OMG..I sure wish I would have known about straighterline back in Dec/Jan!
If I can recall correctly, the entire medical terminology course's grade is based upon six tests (four quizzes, a midterm, and a final exam). Since I have already taken the first test, I have five more to take before I am finished with this course.
I'm just totally shocked that you guys are finishing a whole course up so quickly! Question.. are the quizzes and the tests timed? You don't have to have a proctor or anything??

hello everyone. What's a Straighterline course? Thanks :)

The quizes are 40 questions in an hour. The mid term and the final are 80 questions/2hrs. I had plenty of time to complete them.
No, it's an online test, not proctored.
