Medical City Summer 2021 Nurse Residency

Here is a thread for those who applied to Medical City Summer 2021 Nurse Residency. Applications opened up earlier, but has anyone heard back?  Good luck to us all!☺️

Those who are starting July 19th, have you received any word of the first Monday being in frisco? The schedule I received said it's via healthstream and I emailed someone almost a week ago to clarify and haven't heard back.

There are two ways to create a special area for your cohort, that are Terms-of-Service approved.

 One is to create a facebook page.  This link is allowed to be posted.

  The other is to create a "Club" within the site, by clicking on the Breakroom link (upper left-hand corner, in the yellow bar) and in the green area, click Start a Breakroom Club.

Any other references or links posted are not TOS-approved, and will be removed.

 We wish you success in your Nursing Residency program!

Do you wanna connect on social media & btw have you heard anything about the orientation and the schedule yet? I know that they sent us the first week of July 19 orientation schedule but I did not understand if it is going to be online or we actually have to go to Frisco..

No problem! You can find me on pretty much all my social media by just searching my name, Makayla Hilburn. We actually go to Frisco on Monday, I had some friends that started in June and they went to Frisco and then did some online stuff after that so I would assume they are doing the same for us! Tuesday I believe we do the hospital tour then the rest of the week we will have online modules to complete.

Did anyone get anything for Denton?   I still haven't heard and Monday is quickly approaching *nervous laugh*

I'm did not get hired at Denton but I also start on Monday and I'm still waiting to hear something too. I did all the preboarding and onboarding stuff Tuesday night and haven't received any new updates. I tried calling HR but I can't get through to anyone. I'm not sure what's going on.

Same here!  I called several times today and yesterday.   I don't know what is going on.  But, I hope it will be resolved before the end of tomorrow.

I finally got my schedule and yes we do have to go to Frisco on Monday from 8-12 (check-in is from 7:30 - 8).  We will also be doing our facility orientation on Tuesday but I haven't received any information on the times for that. Have you heard anything?

Registration start time is 8:15, and in the original schedule we got a few weeks ago it said until 12 so I'm assuming we still go by that. Have you gotten your badge yet?
