Medical City Summer 2021 Nurse Residency

Published

Here is a thread for those who applied to Medical City Summer 2021 Nurse Residency. Applications opened up earlier, but has anyone heard back?  Good luck to us all!☺️

I’m using UWorld and Hurst review. Where will everyone be working? I will be at North Hills in the emergency room. I am for sure we all will pass the NCLEX we passed nursing school. Just try to not have so much anxiety during the exam that’s my down fall I am practicing techniques ??

I completed the paperwork manually and turned them in when I went to the onboarding meeting. My email didn’t prompt me to sign on and complete online it said to print out and turn in at the onboarding. I accepted my offer and completed everything else. I just haven’t received the email for new hire meet to sign my contract for 2 years. I don’t think anyone has yet maybe close to the date.  You will have to ask about benefits I think that is when we go in to sign our contract.

Wow, thank you so much!!☺️As for the vaccine requirements to bring to the onboarding, did you take proof of your 3 hep B vaccines AND positive titer as mentioned in the requirements? I only have prof of the vaccine but not titer

Yes I did. Just bring proof

Your 4th clinical day is July 19? My very first day of work is July 19... So I wonder if the date I have to pass by is later than that??

(I take it next week so hopefully that isn't a problem haha)

I start the 19th too. My recruiter told me that the July cohort had until August 19th to pass

Do you know when your school sent out their stuff to the BON? Mine sent it May 14.

My school sent ours out the 15th and we all got ours a week after that. My class was only 36 though so maybe it takes longer if you have a bigger class?

How long are we receiving the stipend? ? it’s the entire 12 weeks right? I start June 28th still haven’t signed my 2yr contract. Has anyone signed that yet?

I’m on the same boat as you! I start 6/28 and still haven’t received my ATT

I called TBON yesterday morning because it had been past the 15 business days that it should’ve taken to get my ATT code. They ended up putting a priority flag on my account and I got my code last night. If it’s been past 15 business days since everything was sent in by you and your school, I would suggest calling them!

Apparently it takes up to 6 weeks for official license results to post to the TBON. Will this effect our start date if our license hasn’t posted until after our 4th clinical day? Even if we took the NCLEX way beforehand?

Three of my friends have taken their NCLEX already and their licenses were posted 2 days after the test so I don’t think it will be a problem.
