Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

I'll add some travel things onto my resume to beef it up !
During one of the Zoom info sessions, I remember one of the applicants mentioned she's 50 so I think the age range is vast.

I'm so glad I found this thread! Goodluck to everyone applying! I had a question regarding the optional essay? Is anyone planning on doing it, if so what would be something good to write about in this section?
Well it is optional ??♀️Im not sure if I'm going to do it though. Its almost like the addendum but the optional essay is something that shouldn’t be academically related. You could write about any other topics. Like if there’s something about you that wasn’t touched on in the personal statement and addendum you could write about it.

I heard that references that used their personal emails instead of an institutional email will be verified by admissions or a third party vendor.

Has anyone tried to apply for Columbia need-based aid? I followed the directions they sent us in an email and it's not even popping up for me as part of the application. Thanks so much!
Hi ! Yes I applied for need based aid. So it should show up on the application page, once you sign in and click start new application you should see a financial aid application for need based aid on the list.

I wasn't able to create one myself either. If you email the admission, they will do it for you.
Hey guys! I'm so nervous! I've read every year's discussion page haha. I have a question! When I got to the homepage, it told me if I wanted to apply for the "Need-based aid," I should click on the link, but it just leads me to the homepage again. On the application, is "Data for Federal Funding" the same thing?
