McLennan Community College 2017 Fall

Published

Is anyone planning to apply for the 2017 fall Nursing program for Mclennan Community College?

I keep hearing people at MCC say that they advisers are telling them they need a 4.0 for all pre-reqs... I find that insane.

Is it really going to be this hard to get in?

I'm retaking English and Anatomy and Physiology 1 to get A's.

How is everyone else doing?

Oops, I meant to put fall 2018.

Yeah its pretty difficult to get in! I have a good GPA and since I had to retake classes; the advisor told me to, "not even waste my time applying because more than likely I won't get in" her words exactly. I had to go elsewhere and I am waiting to see if I get in their program. I have worked with so MANY nurses that has graduated from MCC and told me to not waste my time either that the program is a joke. They have that new test PSB I heard its pretty difficult, but they are not going off the scores since its a trial run. they want to know what the scores would be in general if it would be good or not to change the test from HESI to PSB. so which means they really go off your GPA. I wish you the best hope you get in the program!!! My nurse friends told me also that I should try even though the advisor advised me not to. But I took the practice PSB and I have failed it. When is the dealine for the MCC RN program?

Raque, Were you accepted ? I am applying for spring 2019 but I did have to retake psychology, I would love to know if the retakes affected you.
