Hello! I graduate from nursing school in August. I spoke with an HR rep from Mayo and she said I could start applying as soon as this month in May. So, I've started applying to as many jobs as I find. Realistically, how soon would they contact me if they wanted to interview me?

Hey guys! I have a friend who's currently a Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic. She is looking for someone to take over her lease in August! She lives at The Pines, it's a one bedroom (top floor) for $945 which is pretty affordable! The Pines has great reviews so if anyone is interested please let me know! :)

Hi! I was offered a job as a new nurse at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and will be started Feb 2019. Can you please give me some information about where do the younger nurses live? Do people close to the hospital though I heard the city isn't too exciting. What has your experience been so far? Feel free to message me :)

I also have a question if you don't mind! I was wondering what to expect at the POPA/HR appointment. They mentioned a physical and a dexterity test or something? I've had to pass a physical abilities exam for a previous healthcare job and it was pretty difficult! It included lifting and pulling things, sit ups, etc. Does Mayo require anything like this?

Congrats to everyone on their positions! As I was reviewing offers, an offer was extended to me in a PICU that I could not turn down. Best of luck to all of you!

Hi blasa1127, I recently interviewed for a MICU position and was denied. I felt the interview was hard, but also a part of me felt that I haven't started my critical care rotation and they mostly wanted examples from the ICU unit. Did you have prior exposure to the ICU unit? How many clinical hours did you have a new grad in ICU and/or if you worked as a tech in one of the critical care units? I graduate in July I wonder if they need new grads to have a certain amount of hours to be considered for the position. I know this post is from wayy back in 2018, but I hope to hear back from you. Thank you in advance!
