Hey everyone! I am making this thread for people who are interested in applying for the nurse residency program at Mayo in Arizona! I haven't seen anyone make one yet for the July 2022 cohort so if you're interested in applying, this thread is for you! Hopefully we can keep each other updated on the process ?

I did a nurse externship on a MS floor but at a different hospital

Agreed! They pretty much just confirming what you put on your application and if you were interested with those. Is everyone interviewing next week?

I did! I asked to interview in another unit aside from the unit they asked me if I was interested, because I did my internship there.

Has anyone completed their interview? If so, which unit? Additionally, were you extended an offer right after? Just curious...

I completed an interview about 1.5 weeks ago for med/surg. I felt good about some parts of the interview but a little unsure about others honestly. They did not extend an offer right away… How is it going for everybody else?

Yeah, I interviewed last week and I'm just anxious to see if they have extended an offer. They told me they are hiring around 60 new grad RNs in various department. Just like your experience, I felt pretty good about parts of it but the other ones - not so much. I've interviewed in other places but felt like the Mayo folks are just hard to read - maybe it's me. I typically am good  reading body languages but I just could not ready the folks who interviewed me. 

Did any of your status change after you interviewed?

Congrats on completing your interview! I interview this week... for those of you who have also done an interview, how long was it? Was it a pretty standard interview or did they ask a lot of clinical scenarios? Also did anyone ask when they would extend offers?
