Hey, everyone. I know it's pretty early, but I have had my eye on the Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency program in Arizona for a while. I will be graduating in December and plan on applying to their February 2022 cohort. I have seen other threads from previous cohorts that keep up with the process, information, and support each other along the way.
If you are interested in applying to this program, this thread is for you!
About me: I am from out of state, which is why I am pretty anxious to hear more information on the program. I would love to do critical care. I have not seen the residency program posted on the job board yet, so hopefully, we can keep each other updated.
Good luck to all of you!
@EWKstudent_nurse congrats on completing your interview! That’s awesome. Did they ask you which units you were interested in during your interview out of curiosity?

I interviewed specifically with the ICU due to my capstone preceptorship being in the ICU, but at the end they had me choose 2 back up units just incase so I chose PCU and cardiac tele.
they asked me if I preferred nights or days and I said either work for me as I am flexible!

I am so anxious now after my interview, it’s gonna be a long few weeks! Fingers crossed for all of us!
Haha I hope!
And yes I know that feeling! My interview was days ago but I still think about what I could've said differently, I also remember interventions that I couldn't think of at the spot. But we did our best and that's the best we can do ?
And you're right, getting that call would be a great Christmas present ❤️Good luck to all of us!
I am not totally sure how to reply to comments on this platform... but I had my interview two weeks ago and they said they are hoping to have acceptance letters out by thanksgiving. From the sounds of it, that might be a little later... hoping sooner than later LOL. Congrats on everyone interviewing! This will be the largest group they ever hire and I hope majority of us get in!! I also did the externship this past Summer and it took forever for my "application in review" to be updated.

What units did everyone interview on? ?
I interviewed with Ashley Tenison, the 3E manager. But that was not a unit that I picked at the end of my interview. I know Ashley sat in on interviews for about a week.. They normally hire 40 or 45, I am not totally sure

Oh, I was unaware that they canceled them in 2020... I know they are hiring more because of the expansion. And unfortunately they are losing many employees due to the vaccine mandate. Currently there are 12% of Mayo employees not vaccinated.. which goes into effect 12/3/21
