Hey, everyone. I know it's pretty early, but I have had my eye on the Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency program in Arizona for a while. I will be graduating in December and plan on applying to their February 2022 cohort. I have seen other threads from previous cohorts that keep up with the process, information, and support each other along the way.
If you are interested in applying to this program, this thread is for you!
About me: I am from out of state, which is why I am pretty anxious to hear more information on the program. I would love to do critical care. I have not seen the residency program posted on the job board yet, so hopefully, we can keep each other updated.
Good luck to all of you!

Don’t quote me on this but I think the ratio for MS is 1:3-4 (but most often 3 from what I read). With Mayo’s low ratio it’ll be safer for both patient and nurses. Probably lowers the chances of burn out too ? I’m excited for us.
From what I understand, sherry was extending the offers but she is just the messenger. HR is reaching out between now and before Xmas to tell us our unit, and day/night shift schedule
I already live in Arizona. My husband and I actually just moved into this really nice/affordable apartment complex in old town Scottsdale which is about 15-20 mins from Mayo. If anyone coming from out of state is interested on the pricing and has any questions I can tell you the name. They have a full sized gym and 2 dog parks on the property ?

Yes please send the name. Thank you
Hi everyone! Congrats on the phone calls! I received a phone call from HR today as well and I am so excited! I am coming from out of state and I’m hoping those of you in AZ can shed some light on the License application process. I already submitted an application to the AZBON for Licensure by Exam, and sent off my fingerprints. I graduate next week so my school will send transcripts as soon as they are available. Does anyone have a checklist or flow sheet they could send me? Thank you and can’t wait to meet all of you!

Yes, I spoke to the HR lady and accepted the offer over the phone. she went over different paper work that needs to be submitted week before 21st n also passing NCLEX otherwise the offer gets rescinded. She made a mistake on the initial start rate on the application it’s not $36 it’s 34 something, $36.49 is the start rate for reg nurses not new grad.
