Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency (Az) February 2022

Published

Hey, everyone. I know it's pretty early, but I have had my eye on the Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency program in Arizona for a while. I will be graduating in December and plan on applying to their February 2022 cohort. I have seen other threads from previous cohorts that keep up with the process, information, and support each other along the way.

If you are interested in applying to this program, this thread is for you!

About me: I am from out of state, which is why I am pretty anxious to hear more information on the program. I would love to do critical care. I have not seen the residency program posted on the job board yet, so hopefully, we can keep each other updated.

Good luck to all of you!

Im not sure how I feel! It was sort of vague, so don't want to get my hopes up!

I think we will get an email if we do not get in, but I’m not totally sure. I agree that the call was vague and did not make me feel any better about knowing if we got in or not LOL

I agree! I just worry because some people in this thread were offered positions last week! Those who were extended offers: was this for the Arizona location or another one?

Yeah, same. I feel like they would've just offered the position in the initial call, so I am not feeling too confident. ?

Same! But I also feel that if we were denied they would have done that over the phone as well! Maybe those who we’re already offered jobs applied to units with limited spots and those managers already decided!

Guys, I just received a call that Mayo will send me an offer. The recruiter said that she doesn't know details, but HR will reach out in the next few weeks.

I’m soo confused now!

The nursing placement office called me and said they just finished the interview process, and hope to start extending offers in the next few weeks. HR will be reaching out so does this mean we were selected for a spot,?

Congratulations! That’s so exciting! You said the recruiter called? Or the placement office?

I was told interviews were just finished and decisions were being made as well. If heretotakecare got an offer during this call, then I am going to assume I did not. I feel they would've informed us on this call, especially if they're informing others ?

I agree. I am also curious why they wouldn’t just tell us we weren’t selected. ?

I am super bummed/confused. ?

Just missed. another call from them, but I am in class haha.

I was told that HR will reach out with an offer, but the recruiter doesn't know details about which unit I was selected for.

So I got two calls today.. one to tell me about the interviews being over then I got a call like an hour later from her stating that she wanted to clarify that the call was an offer… so I think there was some miscommunication but I believe the calls are a good thing
