masters of health services administration

Published

Hello everyone!

I am currently in BSN program, and I am in the second last year !

Currently, I am studying nursing in Canada (Canadian).. and I am considering

to go masters of health service administration in University of Michigan.

I am interested in health care policy and such, so I think that I will pursue

to that program. I will also study for RN exam to be an official nurse (America).

With the background as a BSN RN, will I be more "marketable" in the future? (after finishing the master program)

I am very appreciated your thoughts and advice!

p.s. I am in McGill Ingram School of Nursing and currently have cGPA 3.76 with Dean's Honour List. However, I don't have any work experience other than clinical training (due to French language barrier haha)

As I am sure you have already discovered here on AN, hospitals are moving toward hiring only BSN grads - many large metro areas are already there. If you want a graduate degree that will enhance career opportunity and growth in the US, you will need to opt for an MSN.
