Should CNA's be allowed to continue to work as such?

  1. It is happening all over Massachusetts, and in many parts of the country. No new grads welcome! Many new grad nurses worked as certified nursing attendants while in school, only to be let go once they passed their boards. I know that the policy seems to differ depending on where you work, with some facilities offering a few more months of employment, some not caring, and some terminating the CNA. Is there an official Massachusetts policy on this, and if so perhaps it is time for a change given the current economic climate?
