I will apply for the 2016 full time program at Quincy however I had a better impression from other nursing schools. Quincy hours seem a little harder to work around when you have small children because it is mon-fri and clinical hours vary. BSOH has one class one day a week and clinical's twice a week (as long as you have pre-reqs done). I got a 80% on my teas. Anyway, what are everyone else's thoughts? Also Quincy clinicals seemed more chaotic and less organized while BSHON has a more organized clinical plan.

I also am finishing my pre-reqs at Massasoit. I am taking A&P I this fall semester and will only be missing A&P II which I will take in the Spring hopefully. I applied last year just for the heck of it and thought maybe they would consider my experience and forget the fact that I didnt have my Anatomy classes complete. I was denied. I spoke with one of the counselors that use to be on the nursing committee that accepts the students. She was very clear that even if your grades are outstanding and you have military experience, medical experience, ect., that if both Anatomy courses were not complete and with a good grade then the chances of getting accepted are very slim. I am applying again for the 2016 program just to see if I get it. I have a 4.0 GPA, military medical experience, and civilian medical experience working as a surgical tech. I am not relying on going to Massasoit. My top choice is BHSON. They have a great reputation and a high NCLEX pass rate. Since my GI BILL pays most of the bill I am not concerned about how expensive that school is. At this point I just need to get in somewhere ! So I plan on applying everywhere. I am disappointed in Massasoits system of accepting nursing students. I believe it is bias. I know personally some students that got in with pre-reqs still missing but their letter of reference was superb and somehow the reference was connected to the college. I also know students that got in with lower grades and a pre-req still missing over students that have all A's and no pre-reqs missing. The only difference was their ethnicity. While I understand affirmative action and its purpose I feel it limits Caucasians who also struggle and are low income. Anyhow, everyone has their opinion right. Just done give up!

Quincy takes everyone that applies as long as you have the basic criteria met for application. The school is chaotic as far as clinical placements go but if you want a guarantee to start in the September apply there. I'm a third semester student and it's not awful.

I just graduated in May. This first two semesters i heard they changed it so there is only 1 lecture day a week. The third and fourth semesters Classes were Monday and Wednesday 9-1:30. most of the time we did not stay until 1:30 usually when it's medsurg lecture is when we stay until 1:30. Pedi and mental health were usually a lot shorter. 1 or 2 hours tops. Most of my clinicals were evenings on Tuesday and Thursdays. but there are a lot of different days and times even weekend clinicals. however, my last two semesters I ended up all the way out in Plymouth and Wareham when my main campus is Quincy. The school is disorganized but not terrible.

Army Medic....I just graduated their day program as well and I have to concur with my classmate. Daycare/childcare issues mean absolutely nothing to them. They give you what they want.

On the bright side, you are a Veteran yes? 5% of their slots for the full time program are saved for Veterans. Ensure you have your DD214. There were 5 of us in the program throughout the 2 years. Message me if you have questions.

It's a good program and I will tell you my boards were easier than any test I ever took ag Quincy. I took my boards three weeks after graduation and passed in 25 min with minimal questions. I was your average B/C student but did well in clinicals. I go to Currys BSN program now and I'm flying through their tests too!

Did you end up applying?
