New to MA---LPN Student looking for direction

  1. Hello All,
I am a new Mass resident as well as a new MA nursing student. I will be starting the LPN program at Mt. Wachusett in January. I was on the waiting list for RN clinical in RI before we had to relocate for husband's new job, but found that things are much different here in MA, so I decided to go LPN then will do the LPN to RN bridge. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what the best road is to take as far as trying to get into a hospital while in school or if I should wait until I finish school. I have recently completed an EKG Technician certification class but find that most hospitals are looking for phlebotomy w/ EKG. I have only nursing and clinical classes left to go so my class load may not be too heavy and working at the same time may be possible....I think??!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It is so exciting to be so close to your dream!!!!
