Howard County Community College or CCBC nursing program?

U.S.A. Maryland

I just have a quick question, who has the better R.N program CCBC or Howard County Community College? And HCCC has a Accelerated Nursing program does that make there program faster?

I just recently was accepted at a prestigious university in the Washington DC area but just recently discovered I may not be able to go do to cost. I'm devastated but don't want to completely give up on a nursing degree but 75k for one year of school is not in my budget. I've been looking at the state school in Maryland and an accelerated Associates program at one of the community colleges... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am not familiar CCBC but I have heard amazing things about the program at HCC. HCC is an really great community college in general, but I have heard even more amazing things about their nursing program from people who are currently in it and who have graduated already. I will be starting this fall. I've taken my prereqs there and have only great experiences with those classes.

HCC does have an accelerated option available in which you would be finished the program faster. However, it is very intense and is much more competitive to get into. I could have applied for the accelerated program but chose to take the regular program for fear I would not be able to handle the intensity of the accelerated program.
