Maricopa Skills Center LPN program do you know about it?

Is this place as bad as I hear? I think about going here but now not so sure I will want to after talking to some others. Any good experiences going to here? Do they still have no new director after old one quit and walks out one day? Also are other LPN programs like this to? Can i have your ideas about this? Thank you. I don't want to waste my time on bad school.

I am sure no one would like to respond due to worryabout what will happen to them for speaking their mind. Do not worry if you try to reply. I do not think you will get in trouble by Anthony or others. I just would like to know opinions on this program whicheverway you think about it.

hi,

i went to maricopa skill center and overall it was an okay experience. there is a block 0, 1, 2. block 0 was a complete waste of time i thought, especially because i already had my pre-requisites done for the rn program. the financial aid was veryyy unorganized and took several times going into the financial aid office to finally receive my money. a lot of the teachers were unprofessional when i attended. once i was in block 2 it was much more organized with teachers who seemed to be dedicated and wanted to be there. i learned a lot in block 2. overall if you can stick it out with the unorganized school and staff then you will be okay. everyone i graduated with which was about 25 people all passed the boards the first time and that is all that really matters.

Hi,

I actually took the Hesi and my scores are 98% in math,Reading 78%,grammar 72% and vocabulary 68% and english composite score of 72.75%.Can I apply to Maricopa Skill center with these scores. Please respond.

I am not sure the score requirement but those scores sound good. You have to go to an information seminar to get any info from the school. TO find the next one go to Maricopa Skill Center website or call them.. 602-238-4300

For what it's worth, I went in 2004. I attended block 1 and block 2 then jumped

into block 3 at another school.

It was the quickest way to become an RN with a minimal wait list, (about 6 months).

I did prereqs for MCCD during the 6 months all through block 1 and block 2. It

worked well for me. I passed LPN NCLEX first time, as did most of my class.

As with any nursing program, I am sure it will be what you make of it. Be proactive in your own learning, get the most out of the school as you can. Apply yourself to learning the material and as long as the school is accredited you can sit for the NCLEX-PN at the end of it and that is all that matters!
