Marian university online ABSN in Nashville

Published

Hi everyone! I plan on applying to this program once I complete my bachelors degree. My question is I am originally from California and would like to relocate back home after going through the program in Nashville to obtain a California RN license. I know that California's laws with RNs are a lot stricter so has anyone had luck with getting their license In California after attending this program or any hybrid program? Clinicals are done in person! Also, program is regionally accredited, HLC accredited, and also CCNE accredited. I have tried to contact the board of nursing for California but no one has gotten back to me. Any insight would be great!

I looked into this program. For me, the online classes were a turn-off. You can take the NCLEX in any state and apply for a California lisence. CCNE accreditation should be adequate to sit for the nclex.

It is a bummer you haven't heard back from the BON. To my knowledge, there should be no issue receiving your education from an accredited school in a state different from the one you wish to apply for lisencure. There is a young man from California in my program (Wisconsin) currently. He plans to move back after graduation.

Thank you for the response! Do you know if california accepts online theory + on ground clinicals? That's my biggest concern. Thank you!

As long as the program is accredited I don't see any reason that the board of nursing would care what method your theory classes were. Since you haven't had luck getting in contact with the board of nursing maybe ask an admissions person at Marian. I found the admissions personale to be very helpful.
