I am doing well in all the subjects except this one on Kaplan Qbanks. I am fine with knowing who to assign to who questions, but those questions about meetings and what's most important to discuss first or how to handle a bad situation I'm just not getting. They just seem so vague most of the time and we didn't have a class on this in nursing school. Anyone have any tips?

My best advice would be to apply what you know about effective communication and patient/staff rights. Keep patients safe. Protect confidentiality. Maintain respect and integrity. Keep staff safe. Follow the chain of command. Discuss the issue with the most risk for harm (may be harm to one's self, a patient, or harm to staff morale, etc.) first. When possible, facilitate communication between employees. Hear both sides of the story. Essentially, think about how you would want to be treated if you were the employee in those situations.
And if all else fails, honestly, don't worry about it. Such a small portion of the NCLEX exam will have questions from that area of study, and it's very likely you'll never see a question like that at all. Focus your efforts on the medications, disease process, nursing interventions, etc. and don't lose sleep over these types of questions. Good luck!
