Guys, I need your take on this. Well, I am beginning my second semester in a few days and I am caught in a dilemma. During parts of my first semester I had a few encounters with young female staff nurses flirting with me and leading me on. This stuff happened on a regular basis. Of course, I flirted back and what not, but never actually pursued anything because they had boyfriends and stuff. I cant blame them since I am ..ehem ehem good looking in my own right.. hahah One of them actually slipped me there number towards the end of the semester and I never responded. I mean we are always surrounded by women in this profession and temptation is always around the corner... I don't mind, it's kinda cool. Thing is, I don't want to get in trouble next semester and worst of all be a homewrecker.

How do you guys deal with it?

I get with every piece of hot *** I can.

Ok Im just kidding im a loser but still its kind of fun to just play the guy that they can never get but always flirt with. I get that a lot now with my class and its kind of fun. I would never date or mess around with any of them. It is just asking for bad news. Just take it with a smile and let it pad your ego man

Call up old high school friends and ask if they want to hide in your closet?

I share a similar situation with you. It was my 1semester and the RN at this facility really got flirty and touchy. I act uninterested and she got my message. I guess they are just loving the new student since we are all fresh and clean :twocents::D:yeah:.

From "The Modern Gentleman" by Mollod and Tesauro - a really great read, by the way, one that I cannot recommend enough. The passage begins on page 70.

-Double Standard-

If a woman flirts, respond in kind and check the vibe before presuming ulterior motives. Men are expected to flirt, but when women are playful, lesser picaroons with pulsing ids assume the mating ritual has begun. This type of behavior causes ladies to reserve their winsome chitchat; women are entitled to flirt harmlessly without being asked for their phone numbers and Hotmail addresses.

-Flirting and monogamy-

The married or involved gent can share a gleaming smile and innocuous flirt without temptation. Still, biologically speaking, flirtation demonstrates health and virility as a mate. Ensure you aren't falsely flashing your feathers, leading someone to believe that you're available. Double-check the temperature before misplaced lust unwisely invites someone for a dip into your venerable gene pool. Make it a motiveless venture. Good flirtation affirms vitality, but does not leave you holding a motel key.

Dude, if you're attractive like you say you are then girls coming onto you shouldn't be anything new, so enjoy the ego boost and behave. Four years is a long time to flush for a fling. I keep out of trouble by thinking about some of the crazy women I've met and I know my luck one of them would be the girl I decide to have a fling with. Calling my phone non-stop, finding my house and harassing my girlfriend "that's my man, he told me he loves me!", or putting holes in condoms...Haven't you every seen Jerry Springer or Maury Povich!?!? Ha Ha Ha!!! I know I have a vivid imagination but it has kept me out of a lot of trouble...a lot.

Dude,

I am an average looking man, but I do have charisma. I wreak of charisma. Women like guys who are men, who handle themselves as men, but who are also sensitive. So just deal with it

I have 4 points in Charisma!

I am honest, direct, and nothing is wrong with flirting to a point(if it is done in a over the top manner and not serious). If you've been with a girl for 4 years...what's stopping you from being serious? That's a long time to be with someone who isn't a wife material...

although, I found my girlfriend from one of the staff units next door to mine...her mom works over there and set us up...It's very nice to know you got people looking to hook you up.

I hooked up w/ one of the staff nurses my senior year of nursing school. Don't see the harm in it as long as you behave in a professional manner while on the floor.
