!HELP plz,male seeking advice on the whole career

Welcome Mark, I'm also from So Cal! First of all, I think the first thing is to figure out what kind of programs you are thinking of applying to. I think you mean Pasadena City College when you say PCC so I would look into their requirements and start working your way up from there. I personally think the most important thing is to do well in all of your prerequisites so even though it may seem to take more time by taking fewer classes at a time, it is better than taking them as quickly as possible and not doing as well as you normally would. I would also recommend setting up an appointment with a pre-nursing advisor and then looking to volunteer somewhere nearby so you can figure out if the field is right for you. Right on thanks bro ..ijust did my placement test at pasadena yesterday and now iwait to see a counselor. Yea iwas told pre reqs are important,so how many classes do you think is reasonable. Im currently unemployed,and have lots of time on my hands.

It'll depend on which prerequisites you're taking. The physical sciences (A&P I, II, and Microbiology) are the heavy hitters, these will be time consuming. I would take these all separately (not as the only class, but not two in the same semester). As far as the other prerequisites you should be able to handle 12-15 hours a semester, especially if you're not working. Best of luck.
