Magnet hospital question

Published

Hi, I'm currently employed at a Magnet accredited hospital and have been told that according to Magnet certification that a registered nurse is allowed to refuse to be in charge. Does anyone know if this is actually true? Thanks.

What does your hospital policy say about charge duties?

I don't think this is something that's addressed as part of Magnet designation, but I could be wrong. As the previous PP mentioned, I would look at your hospital policy.
