Any RN here who got their license from LVN 30 unit option? OR currently attending this program??

Can someone let me know how long the program is and how often do you need to be in school for this??

Thanks! 😀

Look up the option on the program website of several of the schools where you might like to attend. Some schools have that info clearly listed whereas the “program” is actually only a list of courses required by the Board. You can find that on the BRN website and I have seen it also in the Nurse Practice Act. One of the required classes IIRC is microbiology.

Keep in mind that if you do the LVN-RN 30 unit option, you will probably not be able to endorse into any other state as an RN, as most other BONs require RN applicants to have graduated from an accredited school of nursing, and by doing the 30-unit option, you will have not done that.  So you will pretty much be limited to working only in CA.  Something to keep in mind before you jump in.
