LVN fall 2011, North campus at san jacinto college

Hi all. Am wondering if anybody applied to the north campus of San Jacinto College Houston for the LVN program for fall 2011. Has anybody received acceptance letter?

I applied at the North campus at San Jac. I got my letter today and it was denied. I dont know what they are looking at to make the decision. I had all the requirements. Maybe it was my Hesi score. I scored an 80% I dont know what to do at this point

Sorry to hear that. I got my acceptance letter. I asked them several times about the admission criteria and they told me it is based solely on the HESI. My cumulative on HESI was above 89%. I suggest you go to the office with a copy of your HESI and talk to them on the areas you need to improve on. Also ask them the average HESI score they accepted. Those ladies at the office are nice so I suggest you retake the Hesi and apply for the Spring 2012. Also apply to south campus, and other schools like Lone star, HCC to broaden your chances. I prefer north campus because the application requirements are just 3 items needed unlike the south campus where your immunizations has to be complete before you even take the Hesi. Good luck and dont give up.

I got my acceptance letter as well. I will start in the fall. I made an 83 on my HESI. One of my friends made the same grade as I did but she did not get in. I really don't think they just look at your HESI but your GPA and any other classes you may have already taken. I have already taken my AP's, Microbiology and Pharmacology,etc...

Hi Erika, where did you take the pharmacology and do you have an idea if they will accept it at San Jac for the LVN. I have taken mine at a University in Houston. I will call to see if they can accept that.

I got accepted for the LVN program at San Jac South...and yes you have to have your immunizations in order, but that is before you apply to the program...not before you take the HESI...And I was informed that they base it SOLELY on your HESI...but if someone has the same score as you...they then go to your cumulative score...If I were you, I would retake the HESI but just try to do better on your score...Good Luck

Hi was wondering if someone could help me I just took the hesi at north campus everything went fine but the vocabulary section .....I am kinda upset because I studied my butt off to make sure I had the vocab down but when I took the test there were only about 3 words from the list everything else wasn't in the study guide did I study the wrong book ...has anyone else had this problem
