Has anyone taken the pax rn exam for the spring 2016 class? When do they let you know if you were accepted into the program?

Hi! Im about to finish my first semester of nursing school at LCCC. They let you know around February/March with orientation late May if you are accepted. Sometimes you can tell on WebAdvisor before you get the letter, maybe a day or 2 in advance.
Also there is no Spring 2016 class. They only start nursing classes in the Fall, once a year. Good luck!
Thanks. They didn't tell me the nursing classes only start in the fall. I have all of my core classes done so the only classes I need to take are the nursing classes. I guess I just have to wait to see if I'm accepted.
I think it's somewhere in the directions for applying. If you are done with core classes I suggest you work on classes you'd need for your BSN next semester. Things like history, art, statistics, etc. Look into a few RN to BSN programs and see which classes are common among all of them and take those while you wait. You can also take Pharmacology if you haven't already.
Does LCCC offer a BSN?
No, it's a community college. Community colleges only offer associates no matter the degree. However LCCC has transfer agreements with Wilkes University and Misericordia so you can do your RN to BSN there after you graduate from LCCC or you can do most of your prerequisites for their BSN programs and apply directly to either one.

Hi!
It's done on a points system to get accepted. Each grade in the pre reqs is equivalent to 1-6 points. Those with the highest get in the program. You get bonus points if you were denied last year as well as if you are registered for spring.
Hope your semester was awesome!! I am hoping so hard to get in this year.
Hi! It was, just as I expected, but still a lot. It wasn't hard content wise, but lots and lots of reading. I kept very organized and that saved my sanity. That and my crockpot.
I love all the instructors, including clinical. They all have different personalities but everyone I have come in contact with has at least 20 years of experience and still keep a prn job.
NCLEX style questions, they are a b1tch. That's all I will say about that! Lol
Ended the semester with a B+. ☺

Congratulations! I took pharmacology this semester and the professor, who also teaches the nursing classes, mentioned that over 20% of the new nursing students were going to fail the first semester; scared me a bit. I am really happy that you did so well!
He is absolutely right. Mr. Frusciante? He's awesome, he assists with lab 1st semester and I'll have him for lab next semester. He also teaches the intro to nursing class over the summer.
Ain't no joke, passing is a 78. You need a 93 for an A. I don't think anyone in my class got an A for the semester. Maybe 1 person. Some people left early on, some left before the last drop date rather than risk failing, and a few failed due to the final for sure and there are a handful of people on the razor's edge waiting for their grade on the final exam. I had a decent window so I know I got enough for a B+ but not enough for an A. We get our exam scores tomorrow and final grades posted to Web Advisor on Monday.
I feel like the tests are literally 50% content, 50% NCLEX test strategies. Nursing school is like, here are 4 oranges, now which one is the most orange?
