Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago

Published

Hello!

I am about to graduate from nursing school this may and was wondering if anyone knows how competitive it is to get accepted into Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's RN internship/new grad program? It has been a dream of mine to work there and was curious how many people they accept.

Thanks!

Thank you so much! That makes me feel SO MUCH better! I have PCT experience on peds/PICU so I have been so frustrated to not hear back from a lot of places. It has definitely been frustrating and I am trying to keep positive about it all. Also, thank you for pointing out the objective in a resume, I did not have that since my school never said to add one so I had no idea. Congrats on the new job!! I am so excited for you and it is well deserved!

Your welcome!! If you need any additional help please let me know. I was very lucky that my school was involved in helping us with cover letters and resumes. One other suggestion when you land an interview is to make a nursing portfolio to show the hiring manager. Youtube has some great examples of a nursing portfolio and what to include. The nursing manger that interviewed me was really impressed and I highly suggest it! Best of luck! Keep applying ?

is there a fb group for those who were hired/ does anyone know how to make a group?

OMG yes We should find out how to make one that’s a good idea

I made one, its called unofficial Lurie November 2020 RN Residency program but let me know if anyone else on here created one already!

does the internship pay differ from actual nurse pay?

Is anyone applying to the March cohort? I looked online today and there isn't even an Internal Canidate Application open!
