Are there any LPNs that currently work as a DON/ADON of a facility?
How was your first few months?
What are some of your challenges and how did you work them out?
Any tips?

As far as I know, LPNs cannot be a director of nursing. This is because LPNs cannot be in a higher state of authority over RNs, and the DoN needs to be able to supervise and be able to take over for any nurse, I believe.
For assistant director of nursing, I'm actually not sure! I actually didn't even know they were a thing until recently.

It definitely depends on where you work. Please just do your research in whichever state you are residing in. I know Quite a few people who was the resident care coordinator or DON and they are a LPN.

I think they might have been employed at an ALF.
