Does St. Joseph's hire LPNs? How about Emory? If so, would they be likely to hire a new grad LPN?
Maybe a better question would be, are there any hospitals that do NOT hire LPNs? Thanks!

I beleive you can go tot he hospital wev sites and view the job postings. I know Wellstar (Marietta-morth of Atlanta) and Northside do. If I were picking between the two I'd go with Northside.
Hope this helps:)
Yeah, I tried looking up the job postings for St. Joseph's, but none specify between an RN or an LPN. They all only request "nurses" with a "nursing license". Hmm.

LPN friendly hospitals in Atlanta? Ok here's what I know: Grady, Dekalb Medical Center, Northside, Kennestone, and CHOA are all LPN friendly. I have been told that Piedmont will make you an aide, so be careful. I do not believe Emory or Crawford Long will hire LPN's, but you can double check that. Hope this helps.

Vonnie,
What about pay at these hospitals? Will I be able to afford to live in a house or apt. that doesn't require the use of matchsticks or a cardboard box? I'm sure the benefits are good because it is a hospital. Oh, what about Pediatric Services of America ( I think that's what it's called), I see them advertised on careerbuilder.com all the time??

Are you interested in working outside of the perimeter.I know kennestone, nothside cherokee and piedmont mountainside hire LPN's.
Have you considered working at an LTAC. The experience is great and pay is comparable to critical care units.
I have worked for wellstars ltac and loved it.There is also one located in crawford long ,although it is not associated with the hospital.
The term ltac usually refers to a long term acute care hospital, usually a hospital within a hospital.
