LPN TO RN programs in GA area

I'm a LPN from SC who is in the process of moving to Clayton County area in GA. I have been searching for schools with the ADN program instead of BSN. I want to finish at least part of the RN process so i can get paid as one. I can not find any technical or community colleges that offer this. Can someone please help me find my way or point me in the right direction. I feel so lost:no::(:banghead:

Here is the GA BON list of approved schools: http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/rn/school Directory042007.pdf

You may find something near you on the list. Good luck to you!

I know Augusta State University will allow you to test out of some of their courses, but they are switching to a BSN program next year (2009 school year).

I am attending Dalton State College (in Dalton, GA) and was able to bridge from LPN to the RN program. You have the opportunity to test out of the entire first year, which is great. This is what I did, and it afforded me the time to focus on micro, A&P, etc before entering 2nd year nursing classes. Now in my 2nd year, nursing classes are all I have to take. It worked out great for me.:nurse:

So, they accepted your courses from SC? How old will they allow your science courses to be before you have to retake them?

I actually got my LPN from this same College. I know they will only accept science classes that have been taken with in the last 5 years.
