LPN to RN at Ocean County and working

Published

I was reading the OCC nursing program description and it suggests that you work a MAXIMUM of 16 hours per week. Do you find this accurate? Is it possible to go from LPN to RN while still holding down a job? I have a mortgage to pay :(

Aw, theres always hope! The program was called the one day a week program, not sure if they have changed the name since I was there. I believe we met every Tuesday. I believe that whether or not you are considered full time is determined by credit hours, not sure how it breaks down for that but it must somehow be considered full time. I was fortunate enough not to have to work when I went, but most people in my class did, so like I said, it is do-able. This course is after the pre-reqs, but I think some students may have been finishing them up at the time. Good luck!!

The national standard is 12 credit hours per semester for full time student status
