LPN originally from Missouri but now residing in southern Iowa where I have realized just how limited LPNs are. I feel it's time to make a move. With small children and can not afford daycare expenses, I think online classes would work best for me, anyone know of any programs offering LPN to RN ADN bridge? I've heard of excelsior and college network. Are there any accredited online programs out there? Looking for accredited online LPN to RN ADN programs.

Excelsior College is an accredited, distance-based school that offers a reputable LPN-to-ASN program. On the other hand, the College Network is not a school or degree-granting entity of any type.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

Yep, hear bad stuff about The College Network, there are many out there like them too. I was going to get my pre-req's done at my local Community College here in Tampa until I found out you have to have worked at least 1,000 hours in the last 3 yrs. to even get in. Now I don't know what to do lol. Have not been full time since 2000 so I might just have to go back and start over from scratch and get a 2 yr. RN. I'm almost tempted to just get my CNA now just to get into the hospitals here in Tampa because many hospitals require you to be a 4 yr. RN now and they are not letting LPN's work there.

Do you have access to all of your paystubs to see if you have totaled 1000hrs?

I have no record no because I haven't worked as a nurse lol.
