Stop by, introduce yourself, say a little about yourself. :)

I am a nursing student in central California. I completed my LVN program December 2007 and am currently in the RN program. It is a big transition, but I am enjoying it. I am working as a student intern at the local ER while i'm waiting to take my Nclex-VN. I take it next Friday...pray for me!!! :nurse:

GOOD LUCK...YOU WILL DO GREAT!!:redpinkhe

Hello all my name is Stacy, I been a :nurse:LPN for 5 yrs. I am a mother of six boys and married. I am currently enrolled in CC to start the lpn to rn course in the summer:yeah:. I am supposed to graduated in May 09. God willing. I have been in LTC(charge nurse), Agency nurse and currently working on a SNF in a Hospital. We work with mainly orth pt. I am very nervous about the courses ahead, I pushed myself to get here and now anxious:heartbeat. Has anyone took the transitional course yet? And due to the fact that I am still learning i would love to get some pointer . hope to hear from you all soon. have a good one:coollook:

Wow! I have been using this website for a few monnths and never looked at this forum. I am an 49 y.o. LPN and have been one for over 28 years. Wow! I am in a transition program and will graduate this year on my 50th birthday!!:clpty:I am so excited but exhausted right now. I just finished my last test for this quarter. Now I have a 2 week break and I'm on to my last quarter!!

My dh, a R.N. BSN himself, has been my biggest advocate. He has just taken over with the kids, 1 of our own and 2 we have guardianship of, and loves to help me. I'm passing with great grades, but it has taken its toll. There are some days I wish I wouldn't have hit the books so hard and just taken a lower grade so I could spend more time with the family. But I'm on the downhill slope and for that I am so grateful!

We are planning to sell the house, buy a 5th wheel, do travel nursing and go on humanitarian excursions when the kids are out!!! We are thrilled to have our 50's all planned out doing what we both love best!

Hi my name is Dyna and you can probably guess where I live by my screen name. I've been a LPN for the last 16 yrs. 13 of which were at a SNF and hated it. When I lived in NY I was going threw the College Network/Regents program, but moved to Florida in '99. At which time they did not offer such a program in this state, so I gave up for awhile. I worked in a Pediatrician's office for awhile and loved it:D, but my doctor left town and me without a job:cry:. One would think that being a LPN I wouldn't have a hard time finding a job,:banghead: not the case. I was unemployed and babysitting for tourists for 4 months.:crying2:Then noticed an ad in local paper for a LPN in ER. I've never worked ER before, but figured what the heck. Well, I got the job:uhoh21:and I love it:D So I applied for the RN program 2 years ago and was told I would have no problem getting in:yeah:. Well the 22 month program I applied for is now going into it's 3rd year:banghead: with me finally enrolled as a RN student:nurse: I graduate in Dec'09 right before my 40th bday. I still have some co-req to finish, but right now I'm enrolled in Fundamentals of Nursing(which I get to audit:smokin:guess 16 yrs has it's perks), Speech, Pharmacology, and Intro to Algebra plus working full time night shift in ER. I'm quite stressed at the moment, hopefully the summer will be better when I only have to take nutrition and microbiology:eek: Will be looking for study partners.:typing

It's ok. Don't let this get u down. Review the material again and when u are ready, try again. Did u do the practcie exam prior to scheduling for your test? I have found that it is the best way to get a feel of what to expect. The practice exam is usually harder than the actually(in my opinion). The ladies here are great sources of information. I hope you keep going. Whenever I feel discouraged, this is the main place I come. This site is a blessing, use it.

Best of luck:up:
