LPN to RN programs IN St Louis, mo

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

I am looking for LPN-RN programs in St Louis Missouri. I tried the community college a while ago, but they make you take so many additional classes by time you get done with the pre reqs it ends of taking 2-3 years and you only have a ADN. I really want something that's not going to take forever.

Got a B...one more theory nursing to go!

Good Job!! Are you going to have to do the FCCA or did you get into this before that?

OK-I thought I was going to do the FCCA 1st (as in brochure) but was told it won't be available until 3/09 but they let me go ahead and apply for the CPNE. As it is a 6-9 mo. wait, so be it...prob. better anyway!

Do you have all of your pre-req's and nursing courses done?

No, still need BIO and MICROBIO labs

I looked into the ISU program and I thought read somewhere that it was not accepted in the state of Missouri. Can anyone elaborate on if this is true or not.

As of April, 2008, they are accepted. You would license in Indiana and endorse over. I have chosed EC because it's quicker but considered them in the beginning.

I leaning towards EC I thought about ISU because of finacial aid assistant, because my finances weren't totally up to my standards. I got accepted by EC waiting to pay enrollment fee. I am going to take some courses at the community college so that I can see if I can get an additional loan to pay off EC since you can't use federal financial aid unless you are in the BSN program

Sounds like I'm in about the same position as you are. Keep in touch because it looks like we'll be going through EC at the same time. I have been accepted but am going to do my pre-reqs and first nursing exam before I pay the enrollment fee cause the clock starts ticking when I do.
