Anyone a LPN who got into the RN program at Goodwin College? How many points did you apply with?

I applied last semester with 16 points and didn’t get in. LPNs needed 18 while regular applicants needed 16.
@Denisse-LPN Is that what the amount of points we need to get in each semester? Are you going to apply next semester? How was the TEAS test? I have no idea where to start with studying for it. ?

It varies per semester depending on how many applicants they get. I did apply for the fall semester as a regular applicant. LPNs can’t apply for fall. I had 16 points and with the additional 2 classes I was taking I have 17 or 18 now. I feel like if you really get your studying on, you can ace the teas. It wasn’t hard at all but I didn’t study enough. I got an 82%. I wish I would have studied longer. There’s a yellow book by Mometrix that’s really good. Also there’s an app called pocket prep that was also very helpful. I should get an answer within the next 3 weeks with a decision. I’m super nervous.

Thanks! Likewise! And yes if I would have known the point requirements were different for LPNs I would have applied as a regular applicant the first time. Let me tell you that I researched and researched and never found anyone mention it before.

I don't like the point system because you have to take at least 5 or 6 to make the points needed. One of my coworkers wanted to do her pre-reqs at capital and just do the science courses needed at goodwin. I told her if she want to try to get in she might as well just start at Goodwin.
