Lpn to rn curriculum

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm interested in LPN to RN through excelsior college.

I went on their website and cannot find a curriculum. I have to request information and wait to be contacted.

I was just wondering if some of you could tell me the classes you took to complete and become eligible to take their cpne.

I only have a few classes to go towards an associates. I have to take A&P 1&2,English 1&2, and sociology. Unfortunately I doubt credits taken for my LPN course are transferable.

Thank you!

Did you not see the School of Nursing catalog? That contains everything, and you should read it carefully before committing to the program. You can download it from the ASN program page: Excelsior College | Associates Degrees Nursing | Nursing Degrees, Programs | Distance

It's under the "information" heading.

No I did not see a " catalog"

And I do not see a catalog or curriculum with the link you provided.

Of course I wouldn't commit to a program before knowing what it offers........

I hope this picture doesn't turn out too big, or too small. LOL. See the area circled in green?

You'd be surprised how many people sign up for this program, then complain about issues or fees that are discussed in print.

She's just being helpful, the reality is that online learning is absolutely not for everyone and this particular program has a very high rate of students who can't pass the cpne.

I also intend on getting my RN and briefly considered excelsior, but I'm not an online learner, at all. I have a bunch of Cs that should be As because I forgot about assignments or lost track of time, lol.

Thanks Pixie I found the information I needed!

I understand.

My local community colleges are very difficult to get into especially if you are out of county. My county does not offer an ADN or LPN-RN bridge program.

If I cannot get acceptance into a local ADN program my only chance at becoming an RN would be through a college like excelsior. While its my LAST choice it's an option.

Online learning is very difficult.
