LPN pinning ceremony?

Published

I was just wondering if only RN's had pinning ceremonys or if your LPN/LVN program had a pinning ceremony

Our LPN program has a pinning ceremony! Indiana.

LAUSD LPN/LVN program have a pinning ceremony yearly.

My school has a beautiful pinning ceremony every semester for their LPN's. I thought it was wonderful.

:balloons: our lpn class had our pinning ceremony in december. it was beautiful...all decorated for the holidays.

I am from Canada and yes we had a pinning ceremony. It was very nice with food and decorations but our class had to donate money for the food as the college would not pay but nobody had to donate more than $10.00 so that was reasonable.

We recieved our pin along with our diploma at our graduation ceremony.

We also had a pinning ceremony. I still have my pin, but rarely wear it. It's a beautiful 18k gold pin it's round with the school's name around the edges and a caduceus and the school crest in the center. Loved it!

My LVN school had pinning ceremonies on a quarterly basis for each class of nursing students that passed through. Pinning ceremonies were held in January, April, July, and October.

My school had one, and I think that all LPN schools have pinning ceremonies. I didn't attend mine, though, because I just wanted to get out of there (and do not regret my decision not to go). We're nurses, too, and deserve it just as much as the RNs.

is the pinning ceremony something that family comes to also to see? like husbands & children?..thanks for any comments on this.

of course! it is sort of like a graduation ceremony. tickets are distributed, food is served, awards are given, pictures taken...all of that jazz. ;)
