Wow!!! So I started my 11 month LPN program July 4th....last week was my first full week of classes. So far, we have had 9 exams with two more happening tomorrow. This is intense! I am working ahead in my A&P class while I have the opportunity to and I would highly recommend that! There are only 22 of us which is nice. Basically, we are taking three classes at a time with exams in one class almost every day and in another every other day. Craaaaazzzy! :)

Congrats on getting in! :yeah:

Wow, well that's what I hear we can expect out of LPN school. Stay on top of things and it will be over before you know it. I hope to be where you are one day soon.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you!

And good luck to you too!!

Wow! Keep studying and stay ahead of it! What program are you enrolled in?

This sounds a lot like ny program!! Super intense! Best of luck to you!!

Sounds about right from what I have heard.... Are the tests based off of chapters you read for homework or material covered in class? I start the LVN program next month and I am nervous about all the tests per week, and this goes on for a year Yikes!

Congratulations! And wow, I start 9/18 so now I'll worry about any & all possible tests, lol. Good Luck to you!!

Wow! We actually had to take A&P1 & 2 before we could even apply to the lpn program here. And those were the most intense, mind numbing classes I have ever taken so I feel your pain :sniff:

Hi, That sure is alot of exams. I am also in an 11 month program, in my 5th month now. Level 1 just ended June 18th, now I am in level II which in only 1 subject, med surg. We had many exams in level 1, and about 1 to 2 a week in this level, in addition to math exams, think there are 5 this level. Add 3 days of clinical, labs, papers, presentations, concept maps, and reading and studying, and thats a really full workload. I knew this going into to the program, and sometimes it really gets to me, but I try to stay focused, and remain organized. I am 46, and believe me, many days I have felt like giving up, because quite frankly, it IS the most difficult thing I have probably ever done, and some days, I simply lack confidence in my skills, ability, and time mangement. It is an awful lot of information in a short time, and sometimes I can't see the big picture. I am not out to save the world, or perhaps not even go further than obtaining my LPN, I will be content that I did it, and hope for a decent job, while being a safe LPN. Truly, that will be enough for me. My interest is geriatrics. Best of luck to you, let us know how you are doing.

Don't forget to take good care of yourself. Eat well and rest as often as you can. We're all rooting for you!

Regards,

Mukfay

Keep going leenie45...I was in your shoes a year and a half ago and I DID give up. After I dropped out of my Lpn program, I was happy for about a week. Then I realized what a mistake I had made. School was so mind boggling, but at least I had a goal. I regretted my decision so much that I am now enrolled in another lpn program that begins Oct 1. I have to finish this time. I will be 50 when I graduate. Good luck to you. You'll make it and you'll be so happy you stuck it out!:yelclap:
