First of All HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! boy you need a break, There is a post under janleb that people wrote many studying techniques and some other info. Well it is 8 in the morning and probably safe to say you finished your paper smile.gif One thing down, next fundamentals final. break your studying down in small time chunks. If you can take just 1 afternoon to yourself(it will give you the much needed break)You will come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle all the studying that is needed. boy do i get brain freeze. Anytime I do checkoffs, I can feel myself get all red(I break out in a red rash all over my neck, so in winter I started wearing a turtleneck) Just remember the instructors have been in the same place that you have been. While practicing I would do this with a friend, they would let me know if I was doing anything wrong. Also I would voice what I was doing and my rational for doing so. Also I do better when I know someone, so I encourage myself to have a good rapport with my instructor. I email them with comments and questions, I visit their office to talk about my progress ect.....I also force myself to try new techniques first, volunteer myself. So I really do understand the nerves that go along with nursing. Janice [email protected]

happy birthday...wow...I thought I was the only one who got all flustered. I have been having problems with test anxiety. I can take tests when my instructors let me take the tests in the testing center..but for some reason...when I am in their presence in the class...i majorally freeze. I guess it just goes with the territory. The one thing I am finding is a lot of my instructors will keep asking questions just to see how far you will go until you can say..I DON"T KNOW! The first time my instructor did that..I was dumbfounded. He said...you just learned a good lesson. Sometimes, people will expect you to know everything..and sometimes you just don't. Talk about embarrassing. I knew I was a know it all...but that really opened my eyes. lol. I guess the best advice I can give you is don't take yourself too seriously. You are there to learn...your teachers are there to help and have been in the same boat..it is easier when you have a good rapport with them. Ask your prof. for some suggestions on how to ease your anxiety. Chances are, he/she will have some good ones to share.

Good luck to you!
