Hello Ladies & Gents. I have a dilemma. Right now, I currently have one semester left to graduate with my AA and then I begin the nursing program(LPN) in December. I am excited, at the same time nervous as heck!

Anyway, I am 20 years old and I've been thinking about moving out for a while. Growing up, I've never seen eye to eye with my dad. (verbally abusive, didn't sign my birth certificate, didn't show up when I was born, doesn't like me going out/staying out late, etc) but, that's far beyond the point. Now, we've reach a point, where we are amicable. (Hi, Bye) that's pretty much it. My mom she's a drama queen, loves drama, always in your business, loud, coming in/out room when I'm sleeping, etc. There's about 5/6 of us in this house .

I am by nature a easily stressed person and I DO NOT need this while I am in Nursing School. However, I'm in the process of trying to better myself and life(fixing my credit) and etc. And I don't think it'd be a good idea to MOVE out now right before I am starting a nursing program.

So, I decided by next December(after my nursing program) I would move out by then. I'm giving myself basically a year. It's a lot that needs to change and be done, before I move out. But, I am so overwhelmed. I don't know where to start! I don't know if I should wait til after the LPN program or after the RN program?(planning to go on to a bachelor degree for now, hopefully soon a Masters)

Does anyone have ANY tips/advice? What should I be doing now, preparing, buying and getting fixed before next December?

Thanks so much, love jess.

Girl nursing school is hectic enough. If I were you, I would just chalk it up and live there rent free/cheap rent until I am done nursing school. I stayed with my parents while in nursing school (but they are nice and helpful) and I am glad I did because many of the people in my class had issues. Just try and be home less such as going to work, staying after class to focus and study or going to the library, cafe to study etc. If you move out then you will have rent, utilities, food, etc.

If you think that you are able to find a cheap place to live, work, and do nursing school at the same time then do it otherwise, stay home and have less responsiilities as possible.

If you can afford to move then do so. You may be able to find a fellow nursing student as a roommate.
