congratulations for being accepted into the program! :yeah:

the best advice i received, and it seems to work well, is take great notes! some of my classmates record the lectures to help with their studying. don't be afraid to ask questions. i always write down things that i don't understand when i am studying and ask the instructor during the next class lecture, or by email (especially if you are uncertain when studying for an exam). study groups work great and you might try to form one else suggests it.

i am just starting my 2nd semester and clinicals will start this week. i did go for orientation at the clinical site, but i don't have enough experience to give any advice except get comfortable shoes!

i would say that most of my classmates are working fulltime, and they are able to do very well in class.

good luck!

Congratulations for being accepted into the program! :yeah:

Good luck!

Thank you very much for responding.... I am so excited ... I can't wait til' september.

Congrats!! minnielynn....

Wow I like the sound of your school schedule!! Sounds very doable in regards to possibly also working...

The program I will be ( hopefully) attending is from 8:30-am till 4;30-ish, 5 days per week. If I also factor in my Travel time ( aprox 2+ hours total daily)...Then if I work at all, it will have to be on the weekends....

Anyway Thanks for sharing your "Good news"...and Hang around here often!! (smile)

Congrats! For the sake of studying, I would not recommend full time work. I'm not a student yet, but I hear there is alot of reading and other homework. But you could always give it a try and if its doabe, then kudos!

Congrats!! minnielynn....

I will definetly stick around... I'll need pointers and direction:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Good luck to all of us starting the program

I am going to see if I can handle it, but I may have to cut my hours. I have to say I have been blessed because my boss is a doctor and he knows how hard school can be especially if your working and he told me to do what I can. So with respect to work, I can probably cut some hours, but unfortunately I HAVE TO WORK.:o

Thanks for your input it is very much appreciated. I'll let you know how I am handling it as I go along.
