lpn programs that begin in dec/jan? (NY/NJ/PA)

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hello all....

I was curious, does anyone know of any Lpn programs that are 1 year Fulltime and begin in either dec/jan?

Id prefer them to be in the NY/NJ/PA area (or florida)...however if the cost is cheap Im willing to go just about anywhere-

Im going to the informational meeting at Lincoln Tech next week, however I absolutely hate that they play games about the information. I simply asked when does the program start? and all they reply with is...go to the informational session.....its 22k for a year....just answer the freakin questions...lol.

Anyhow, Im doin google searches left & right, and information is slim at best.

Im open to any type of program as long as its under a year or there abouts...no 18 month courses please.

Boces/voc schools/community colleges etc etc.

Thank you in advance for any information.

my school starts a new class in feb.2011 part-time 5-10 its in plainfield so are you looking for full-time or partite and how much you want to pay?

My program is at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. It starts in January, it's a day class, and you graduate in Dec of 2011. It's about $21,000 for the year. It's located in Media, PA. There website is Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, Media, PA | Two Year Accredited College | P.I.T., but you have to apply in person.

Im looking for full-time. Cost isn't really a factor, time however is. I plan to stop working completely, (as to focus on school) so the shorter the duration, the better for me.

Ill look at PIT...thanks

Any others?

Schuylkill Technology Center starts in March

STC: Practical Nursing

(both in PA)

Hohokus Hackensack LPN module starts in Jan. The nursing modules start every 3 months.

It's a 12 month program if you're a full-time day student: Mon-Fri. Part-time is 18 months Mon-Thurs 5-10 with clinicals on every other weekend. There are a couple of campuses of the Hohokus schools (Eastwick College) but the one I'm referring to is in Hackensack, NJ. It is a private college where everyone knows you by name. THe tuition is a little under 19K I believe.

I too had to make the decision between my current school and Lincoln Tech. The individualized attention and support I receive from instructors and administrative staff makes the tuition more than worth the price. I am very happy here and get the support I need. Yes there are a few that leave a lot ot be desired but that is anywhere you go.

Lincoln Tech (in Paramus, NJ) was too much of a business push to me

I forgot to add that another important factor for me about Hohokus was the LPN to RN bridge program at one of their campuses (Ramsey). LPN grads from any Hohokus campus get first priority (no waiting lists) to enroll in their RN program in Ramsey.

York County School of Technology starts in January and July. Cost is, I believe, about $13K, but don't quote me because I cannot find the exact number. I start in January. Feel free to contact me for more info. I am accepted to start in January. http://www.ycstech.org/education/components/scrapbook/default.php?sectiondetailid=1427&

Thanks paddy cake-

Entering Class July 2010

$10,796.00

Entering Class January 2011

$11,069.00

thats not horrible......

i was told a little over 21,000 when i went there a couple weeks ago and they also didnt tell me eastwyck of ramsey might not take all the credits from the hackensack school. also they dont accept state grants, i just got that letter today. are you enrolled or will you be starting in january? i go next week for my teas test. now i'm ify because of them not accepting the grants. im wondering how much federal aid i could get :(

Maybe they recently raised the tuition because my tuition total was definitely a few dollars over 19K. I had the majority of it covered by fin aid so my loan was for 6K total. Eastwick of Ramsey an Hackensack are the same school, only different campus. The credits from hackensack are accepted for Ramsey if it is for the LPN -RN bridge. I already attend the Hackensack campus. What grants did they tell you they don't accept? This whole time I thought that they accept state grants that are sometimes given thru fin aid? i cant believe they dont accept them! Thats crazy!

I hope it all works out for you and they give you a package that suits your needs. BTW...Good Luck on the TEAS! :)

thank you! i passed the teas test and have to go tomorrow to do the registration and application process. they told me i could get in the sept 27th program. the tuition is now 22k and i rec'd a letter from the state saying the hackensack school doesnt participate in state grants but that wont effect financial and institutional ones. however the ramsey school accepts them which i just dont understand. how was the school when you went? the instructors, classes etc.? how are their job placement? did you get a job right from graduation?
