I am applying to an RN program that has a 1.5 year wait list. I was wondering if there is a certain amount of time you have to work as a LPN BEFORE you do the bridge program to RN? I thought maybe I could get into a LPN program while I wait and then just apply to the bridge, but I heard that you have to work for a year before you do that. Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on the program some require just 6 months ( El Centro go to www.dcccd.edu
i think it's only 6 months not sure) and most of the others require a year for example Navarro College(www.navarrocollege.edu
and Southwest Adventist University( www.swau.edu
). hope this helps
