I just had my interview at Jeff Tech in Reynoldsville, PA. I was accepted on the spot. (Still can't believe it!!!) They said they are mailing out the "official acceptance letter" today!!! Yay!!! Anyways...it's a 12 month program that costs about $13,500. (including books) Orientation is Aug 3rd and the first day of class is Aug 30th.

That's hard to put into words...because I want to...because nursing interests me...because I want to be a nurse...because I want to help people but have an interesting job at the same time, lot's of different reasons
Tuition is about $5000 plus another $3000ish for supplies (for the whole 12 months)

WOW... I should have moved out of state it looks like.... My program was 11 months long and a little over $20,000!! & that's average for around here where there is about 3-4 other programs 18-20k. Community college is cheaper but no LPN programs & at least a 2 yr wait... Ive graduated about 3 yrs ago now but dang didn't know there was such price differences!

[color=#9933cc]1. my program starts aug 15th @ shawnee community college in southern, il.
2. the program is 3 semesters, fall, spring, and summer. i will be finished by july 2013.
3. i'm choosing lpn because the school i'm attending requires you to be an lpn before entering the rn program.
4. estimated costs are $6,700. i feel that it will be more like $5,000ish.

1. Start August 16th, 2012 at Mid-America Technology in Wayne, OK.
2. Program is from August 2012 to June 2013 so 10 months.
3. I'm using LPN as a stepping stone. I'll work as an LPN until I complete an RN program, and will decide where to go from there.
4. The tuition is about $2500 total but that doesn't include uniforms or equipment. It basically only covers books, tuition, and... an iPad :) pretty happy about that last part lol.

Congrats on getting in. I'm going to Metro Tech in OKC and we get an iPad but we have to return it at the end of the year. So make sure you don't have to return it! LOL
Oh and then bridging to a 9 month LPN to BSN program at OU.
That's what I plan on doing when I finish. I just have to secure a job for that year of experience before I apply!

Good luck -- my advice to you all in the pn program is to focus on Kaplan as your source to get you through the NCLEX once you get through your program God Willing ... If there is a Hesi test before exiting your program , mind you Kaplan handles that as well --- Just so you know, i today recieved my results for my Nclex PN and passed thanks to Kaplan and God above all ...
Watch and be well aware of your SATA , Lab Values, Pharm, Math in Peds and in general, Infection control, NG tubings, and priority type questions ....
Please if you feel you need any help , PLEASE FEEL FREE !!!!
I Understand the feeling !!!
Thanks- you too!!! I got my CNA from MetroTech back in April. Had I known I would be getting into MATech I would have just held off and saved the $500. I didn't know they were doing iPads there too, that's great! I like how more and more schools are using newer technology. Our instructor emailed me and said it would be a good idea to get a wireless/Bluetooth keyboard for taking notes and doing assignments so I asked if the iPads were just loaners or if they were ours to keep. I'm not going to spend $100 on a nice case and keyboard if they're just loaners lol. If you were interested, they have some cheap keyboards on amazon for about $20.
I'll let you know when I find out if we get to keep ours :)
