1st semester LPN student jobs?

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

I have had to quit my job to attend the LPN program. Any ideas of where a 1 semester LPN student qualifies for a job at? I know I should be able to find something AFTER the first semester, but I really need some ideas to make $ to live on NOW! Thanks!

it depends on the program breakdown ! how is your program structured ? our program does teaches in trimester not semesters after our first "semester" or phase of the lpn program we can take the CNA boards ! so you might want to ask your instructors if you can work part time as a patient care tech or cna to start.

You may be able to work for a home health agency that employs non-certified assistants to do non-medical care. Grocery shopping, cleaning, baths/grooming, errands, escort to appointments.

Also some hospitals hire transporters that do not require any experience or certification.

I had 2 jobs when I entered LPN school. I worked 24 hours a week at a local hospital as a medical secretary, and then I worked per diem as a registered pharmacy tech. As school continued on and studying demanded more of my time, I quit the secretarial position and kept the per diem pharm tech position. By the time I completed LPN school, I was soooo broke!
