WOO HOO....My first job

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

I had my first interview today and was called this evening with the job offer. I really wanted this one too. The Lord has just really watched out for me the last couple of years, and now all that I have lost and all the trouble I have gone through have made me stronger to be able to do this job to the best of my ability. I have definately learned that no matter what happens in your life, don't let anything stop you, NO MATTER WHAT, in reaching your dreams. :balloons: :balloons:

Congrats! I bet it was a difficult year! Good for you! I got a job offer too, which I accepted. I start on June6 as a GPN! I am so excited. AND NERVOUS! It has been SO long since I have had my own income and I don't know what to do! It's low paying, I start at $13.50 plus $1.00 diff since I am doing evenings, but I don't care. I am excited about the opportunity and I love the facility. I am curious about one thing, though. In the new hire packet they sent it says that I should bring my LPN license to one of the orientation days. Since I have yet to schedule my exam (I don't graduate until Tuesday so of course I haven't gotten my ATT yet) what should I bring? Would my LPN completion certificate be acceptable since my hired position is GPN?

Anyway, good luck to all the new grads! I am so proud that I can call my self a Graduate Practical Nurse!
